There is a point, in the lives of most of us, where we begin to question not only what we’re doing in life, but why. The second one is harder to answer. Not one of us can say that we understand, day after day, what the possible importance could be, behind the tedium, frustration and disappointment that is much of life.

The answer cannot be found by focusing inward. We must find meaning in life by bringing meaning to others. We find peace by distributing peace. Friendship by being a friend.

If the job of an entrepreneur is to find a need, and fill it, then the job of the writer, is to find a hurt, and speak to it. There is no shortage of discouragement in today’s world.
